Quick Edit :: Seahawks Super Bowl Victory Parade

The day of the Seahawks Super Bowl Victory parade was crazy… after getting off work and realizing how many people were downtown, I had no way to get there by bus, cab, or my own car. So, I walked the 2.5 miles to meet my husband at the intersection he was at. So many people were downtown (700,000+) that cell phone service went out, so after getting to the area he was in, I had to search the dense crowd for him. I was walking as fast as I possibly could, getting shaky shots here and there on the way. The parade was short and sweet, but we wouldn’t have missed it for the world! After the parade we had to walk all the way back to my office, and on the way we stopped at a bar for food and warmth (it was 28 degree out and we couldn’t feel our legs!). We watched the presentation from the coaches and players on TV with a bunch of other Seahawks fans and we all laughed and cried and shook hands… it was awesome. The only downside is how sick we both got – standing out in the cold for hours on end lead to nasty head colds in our house. But still, we wouldn’t have missed it!

This is a quick edit of some not-well-thought-out footage from iPhone 5S, GoPro HERO 3 Black Edition, and a Canon Rebel T1i.

VIDEO: California, January 2014

The first weekend in January, Matt and I went to Disneyland. We took advantage of our weekend away from home – it was a lazy and relaxing trip, but we still had ‘adventure time.’  We hiked to the Griffith Observatory (they weren’t allowing car traffic), we went to Disneyland and California Adventure, we drove up and down the coast visiting some classic beaches (like Venice!), visited the Science Center to see the Space Shuttle Endeavor, and just had a great time soaking in a bit of 70+ degree sunshine.

VIDEO: Las Vegas, July 2013

In July, my husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary and we decided to go on an adventure to celebrate.  We headed to Las Vegas and stayed at The Mirage for a few nights and had a blast!  Our incredible trip included watching the 4th of July fireworks from our room, doing the Mirage’s Dolphin Trainer for A Day program at their education and research center (we learned SO much!), relaxing, and just enjoying the warm weather (it was a dry 107* every day we were there!).
